Carribbean Poker Rules: Procedure of Play The player starts by placing the ante bet in the appropriate betting area. This ante must meet the table minimums and maximums. Once the player has done this the player is dealt 5 cards, face up and the dealer is dealt four cards face down with the fifth card dealt face up. At this point the player decides whether or not raise or fold. If the player folds, the player loses the ante and a new round begins. If the player raises, the player doubles his or her bet and the dealer's cards are revealed. The dealer must qualify with at least an Ace/King combination. If the dealer fails to qualify the player automatically wins the ante bet but the raise portion of the bet is considered a push and is given back to the player. If the dealer qualifies, the player's hand is compared to the dealer's
hand. If the player's hand wins then the player is paid out according
to the payout chart which can be viewed by clicking on the "View
Payouts" button. If the player's hand loses then all bets, the
ante and the raise, are lost and a new round begins.
